Preserving Employment in an Aging Society
Current Infrastructure, policy, and workforce alignment to serve 80 million aging Baby Boomers’ wellness and care needs are unremarkably shifting America’s national labor and employment model. Collectively, private sector leadership is needed to take the reins of caregiving strategy as it impacts every employee’s stability and every business, regardless of size or revenues. Outdated family care concepts underlie family caregiving direction led by coalitions of government agencies, non-profits, pharmaceuticals, public health and social services. All incompatible with the private sector’s sustainable employment and business growth goals.
This ecosystem challenge starts with agreement on industrial social and corporate responsibility decisions. The economic discussion is centered on a values statement to either continue the current practice of transferring family care accountability to employers and employees or create an option of greater institutional accountability in an emerging industry. Only then can capacity and capabilities be aligned.
Executives meet for information and sharing sessions to explore business capacity, human capital alternatives, and surface core shared direction.
Four-hour collaborative sessions are led by former senior AT&T executive and Founder of CareWise Solutions, Jeannette Galvanek. Discussions enable cross assessment of current state and future goals. Uniquely prepared, Jeannette serves on influential executive strategy teams, including the Rutgers Institute of Corporate Responsibility (RWJ Foundation), serves as a guest executive speaker at Rutgers Business School, IoT Evolution, Local HealthCARE Delivery Innovation, Caregiver Associations, and various Human Resources Executive forums.
