It’s time to strategically alter the workforce and the talent management philosophies. Moreover, the management to meet once in a century change in corporations around the globe.
Futurists forecast that we are undergoing the biggest alterations in the way businesses working 100 years. Some call it the Big Shift, some the mobile enterprise, some the on-demand global economy.
I call these global business influences major; all requiring transformational business attention. We are experiencing mind-boggling technological revolutions, investing billions in devices and integrating solutions and seem to be significantly missing the human element.
That does not mean employee engagement, employment benefit changes or flexible scheduling.
This is a New Era, a New Generation, including the acceptance of a need for an extended workforce, a mobile workforce and mobile life parity with work. The lines between work and home have drastically changed, the digital divide is conquered.
Few experts have taken those predictions and incorporated other factors; a new model of how to meet the demands of and “Talent buyers market.”
In short order, the Millennial ‘s will constitute 70% of the workforce—extended, freelancing or on the payroll.
This talent, unlike previous generations, is confident in voicing their values of business operations that sanction (and encourage) meeting work, life family commitments. Add to this recipe vastly different demographics as potentially 45% of the workforce faces the challenges of a 30 year Care Cycle.
Strategies
Scarce few strategies matching up small, mid-sized and large business needs in the fast-changing global economy and their staffing potential with the looming labor shortages and more workforce, the Digi-Flex talent revolution.
We haven’t seen a role model, progressive organizations recognizing that their business philosophy, model, policies are a better match to the Industrial Age, not the Connected Age of 2021. As well as workers have far different motivation than the last decade! The contract of an employment brand is broken with the disruptive era of downsizing. In a talent market, the talent can and will walk.
However, when I count up these changes. Also, I am able to see more than 70% of the workplace and the workforce experiencing disruption.

Additionally, the Business Schools are the providers of skills and serve the corporation with talented people. They need to shape that product to match the business needs of 2021.
